Marin and Sonoma County Second Saturday
Second Saturday: Divorce Academy
Divorce can be one of life’s most confusing, awkward, scary and sometimes even transformative periods of life. It is second on the stress scale only to death of a spouse. Whether you are just beginning to consider divorce or are already in the process, it can be difficult to know where to turn for clear, honest, and grounded guidance.
Second Saturday is a monthly workshop designed to offer a calm, informative, and supportive space where you can begin to understand your options, ask questions, and feel less alone in the process.
Each month, Jill Carrade and Ann Cerney will offer both their professional and personal knowledge and experience as divorced women and mothers as they bring in experienced guest speakers—including mental health professionals, financial specialists, and legal experts—to share insight on the issues that matter most, including:
Supporting your children’s adjustment
Navigating friendships and social changes
Understanding finances—during and after divorce
Keeping the house - or not
Managing stress and emotional overwhelm
Creating thoughtful, developmentally appropriate parenting plans
This is not about telling you what to do.
It’s about helping you make informed, values-based decisions that reflect who you are and what matters most to you and your family.
You’ll leave each session with:
Greater clarity about the divorce process and your options
Practical tools and perspectives you can begin using right away
A sense of steadiness and direction during an uncertain time
Whether you attend once or return over time, Second Saturday is here to support you as you move forward—thoughtfully, intentionally, and with care.
Zoom link will be emailed to you the Friday prior to the Second Saturday class.
