As a Second Saturday Leader, my mission is to help guide those down a path I’ve already traveled – with the goal of trading fear and anxiety with knowledge, education, and understanding. Millions have gone before us, and millions more will follow. I wish I knew then what I know now and providing this information and service to others is what makes me feel good about what it is that we do.
There IS life after divorce. The lady I’m with now isn’t shy about sharing her love and affection – she reminds me daily. We’re each other’s best friend and are very happy together as a couple and a team. Were it not for divorce – I never would’ve met her.
What we do now can be summed up with my favorite quote from George Bernard Shaw:
“This is the true joy of life. The being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. The being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap. The being a force of nature instead of a feverish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.”
